It’s been an exciting month and we have a lot to share with you! While the world has been tossed into chaos–those Elden Ring boss battles, am I right? We have been hard at work building, testing, and shipping kits, announcing new partnerships, and conquering the GDC showroom like it was an afternoon game of Risk.
COVID lockdowns in China delayed manufacturing and shipping for multiple weeks but both have resumed recently.
The lockdowns did delay current LE kit shipments but we’re still on track to start shipping XE kits in early spring and XE Group Packs later in the spring. Even with the delays, our manufacturing capacity is continuing to ramp up while maintaining product quality. We’re sending out kits in larger quantities and we really appreciate everyone's patience and support. Thanks for sticking with us!
As a reminder, we’ll contact you from orders@tiltfive.com to let you update your shipping address and credit card information in BackerKit at least a week before we charge you for shipping and any taxes. If you’d like to update your BackerKit account information now, click this link!
Then we’ll send another email from orders@titlfive.com with the tracking number when your kit ships about a week later.
To prevent our emails from orders@tiltfive.com from going to your spam or promotions folders add orders@tiltfive.com to your email contacts or Safe Senders list. Here’s how: Gmail | Outlook | Hotmail | Yahoo!
With demo units in hand, pockets full of T5 D20s, and a ton of coffee in tote, we made our way to sunny San Francisco to take over the GDC showroom floor! Our team showcased over 500 demos to attendees and were once again blown away by everyone’s positive response. Not only was this a great opportunity to meet more developers to help bring more games to Tilt Five, but we also gained valuable feedback and look forward to incorporating and sharing it with you.
Here’s a quick look at the shenanigans that we got up to at GDC:
That’s right! We’re partnering with legendary board game company Asmodee Digital to bring several well-known titles to Tilt Five! We are not announcing any specific games just yet, but this is an exciting step forward and will bring a whole new [holographic] level to family game night. Asmodee Digital is the publisher of well-known digital board games such as Gloomhaven, CATAN, Terraforming Mars, Ticket to Ride, and Scythe. They have also expanded into publishing video games –including Ember Knights and Innchanted, with more yet to be announced.
We can’t wait to share more with you about this partnership.
It’s Official! Here are Tilt Five’s Launch Titles. Read about it HERE!
Titles included are:
Meet Daniel & Lee...
Hi all! I'm Daniel, the new Community Manager for Tilt Five. I have spent the last 6 years working in the XR industry and embracing emerging tech. On the weekends you can find me combing the beach for treasure or searching pawn shops and thrift stores for retro games to add to my collection. When it comes to gaming I'm a huge fan of RPG/JRPG titles. Any game that gives me the opportunity to explore outside a linear path is my jam, that's probably why I am pulled toward technologies like AR/VR. If you want to chat you can find me on Twitter @tiltfive or on the Tilt Five discord
Say Hola to Lee Perez, the new Games Producer @ Tilt Five. He entered the gaming biz managing eSports tournaments in 2003. Then leveled up to become a Producer at several quirky indie game studios and game publishers. Specializing in multiplayer & co-op games. In his off time, Lee can be found experimenting with time travel and cooking grilled cheese but never both at the same time.
For those of you that already received your Tilt Five kits, the 1.0.1 drivers and 1.0.1 SDK are available now. The driver update includes various bug fixes and improvements to wand tracking to make it more robust to distractions in the environment. After updating, look at the “Release Notes” in the Tilt Five Control Panel for the full update details.
It's “The Great Display Debate!” The New York Augmented Reality Meetup (NYAR) is hosting debate and discussions around augmented reality displays for their next virtual meetup.
Jeri will face off against Karl Guttag, Chief Science Officer, RAVN for the event. Will they agree? Will they disagree? Join the stream to find out! You won't want to miss this event.
