The Tilt Five team descended on the Games Developers Conference (GDC) last month as if Jeri had sent out the “T5 Avengers Assemble” war cry. With over 12,000 industry attendees at the event, GDC reclaimed its crown as the mecca for developers to gather since the pandemic had rendered the conference virtual.
Armed with Gameboards, Glasses, and of course our trusty Wand Controllers, the team proudly showed off our tabletop holograms to the eager attendees. Lines wrapped around our booth as a flurry of social media posts and word-of-mouth spread across the tradeshow floor.
In addition to over 500 demos (go team!) and we met with tons of developers who are interested in transforming their games into holographic experiences.
Thank you to everyone who met with us, experienced the Tilt Five System, and shared their reactions on social! We love seeing your posts and the T5 swag out in the world.
What did attendees say about Tilt Five?
"All simple yet effective games, what really impressed me with Tilt Five was the clarity and depth of the visuals. Graphics on AR glasses can tend to be a bit washed out, but because the system requires looking at a specialised mat, that effect was greatly reduced. If you love the idea of AR, then Tilt Five could well provide a breakthrough gaming experience." - Peter Graham, GMW3
"The experience of using Tilt Five reminds me a lot of using the Nintendo Wii at parties. It’s like a large screen that you can only see with glasses, except that your view point on the screen changes with the 3D graphics." - Micah Blumberg, SVGN
"This was the highlight of the show for me... this was probably the coolest tech I've seen in a long time..." - Eric (MashDaddyCool), Q2C - VR Gamer Podcast
“I really really really enjoyed this, the wow factor on this thing is through the roof… it looks incredible, it plays incredible…”– Skeeva, Upload VR podcast “Between Realities @ GDC”
