Jeri speaks to Youth On Air about her journey and love of Ham Radio
One of the many things you many not know about Jeri is that she is a licensed ham radio operator.
Ever since Jeri was a child, she has been enamored with anything to do with science, computers, games, and technology. Growing up she didn't have access to the kind of technology that interested her - until she joined a local ham radio community that took her under their wing and taught her about testing, equipment and how to work with computers. This set her on a path to do some exciting things in her own career!
As a licensed Ham Radio operator, Jeri was asked to share her story and technical journey for Youth on the Air about the power of mentors, both within the ham radio community and beyond.
Youth on the Air is a program for young amateur radio operators in the Americas. The goal of the program is to build skills and foster lasting friendships and mentors with younger hams.
